Foreigners Buying More Stocks, Fewer Bonds

In Q4, foreign investors bought three times as many U.S. stocks as U.S. bonds. Foreign demand for bonds waned even though the U.S. sported much higher nominal and real yields. Higher dollar hedging costs eroded the yield advantage.
