Below average loan demand is generally bullish for stocks, but not necessarily financial stocks. Very high levels of debt relative to GDP is generally consistent with below average GDP growth - this year is an exception. But short-term loan or credit demand is complicated. I am skeptical of definitive conclusions on debt flows, but I did want clients to be aware of the current unusual situation.
