Application Requirements

To run Mobile NDR, your BlackBerry (BB) will need to be running version 4.5 or higher of the BB operating system (OS). Note that our publications will not display correctly in full-pub mode on BlackBerries running the newest operating system, OS 6, such as the BB 9800. This is a known issue that we will not be addressing until the release of Mobile NDR 2.0.

The OS is displayed when selecting Options, then About, or on the BB Help page, viewable by pressing Shift-Alt-H. The OS version will be displayed with a "v", followed by the version number, or it will be listed under App Version, for example, v4.5.0.182 or App Version: 4.5.0.182. There are several ways to upgrade your BB OS - by using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager application that is available for Windows and Macintosh, by following instructions on your carrier's website, or by following instructions at http://na.blackberry.com.

Common Installation Issues

Mobile NDR fails to install and you get the error message: Error 907 - Ivalid COD

This indicates that your BB OS needs to be upgraded. See Application Requirements section above.

Mobile NDR installs, but when you attempt to start the application, you get a ClassNotFound error.

This also indicates that your BB OS needs to be upgraded. See Application Requirements section above.

Mobile NDR installs, but when you attempt to start the application, you get an Invalid Module Handle error.

This indicates that the BB needed to be restarted after the install, and this step was not accomplished. Remove the battery from the BB for thirty seconds and then put it back in to do what is referred to as a "hard reboot". Simply turning off the BB and turning it back on again will not work in this case.

You get an error that says "Your device does not currently have any Browser Configuration Service Book Entries. Please contact your service provider to enable the Browser on your device."

A hard reboot of the BB device (remove and replace the battery) will likely take care of this issue. It can occur after an OS upgrade if the device is not rebooted. If a hard reboot does not fix the problem, you will have to contact your carrier for assistance.
