The global economy began the year on a strong note, according to the latest global PMIs, with several forward-looking indicators pointing to more upside momentum in the coming months. Most of the world's major developed economies reported new highs in their manufacturing PMIs, while trends among the BRIC economies were mixed to better. The latest PMI data supports our constructive view on most of the world's major economies. We are, however, aware of the risks.
